Oksana   Franklin Born in Lvov, Ukraine in 1964, Oksana Franklin as a little girl moved frequently due to her stepfather’s employment. Living with her family from Ukraine to Russia in Far East seaport Vladivostok in 1975, she explored many new areas and terrains. Her artistic mind captured the feel of light and shadows that has proved the base of her Impressionistic and realistic style. Since early childhood she has always sketched ideas for paintings as she went through her day. Her sketches found their way into detailed drawings and watercolor artworks. High School found her busy with art classes, art school and the school newspaper. Therefore she graduated as Most Artistic Student and began to explore her art studies. Four years at Art School in Nakhodka(Far East), then a 5 years she studied and graduated in Fine Arts from a Vladivostok's college. Thank you for your interest in Oksana's art. She has been called a story teller in paints, because each painting allows the viewer to compose their own feelings about the scene. Her art has a provocative, ethereal nature and has been compared to artists  such , Kramskoy  I. and  Durer A. Yet Oksana  Franklin remains an Original Realism of the Russian Scene.
